Introducing the Good & Woodsy Logo: A Tribute to Mother Earth

Hello, friends of Good & Woodsy! We are thrilled to unveil our brand new logo, a heartfelt homage to a friend of the forest, and the largest insect in North America – the majestic cecropia moth.

Inspired by the hand-sculpted lines of woodcut prints, our logo, though digitally created, is meant to feel as though it has been hand inked onto a thick sheet of handmade paper. The cecropia moth, with its large, yet delicate wings adorned in rich hues and intricate patterns, symbolizes the balance between beauty and practicality. I strive to have all my projects embody a similar balance.

As an artist, naturalist, urban homesteader, and big time moth fan, I couldn't resist bringing this captivating creature to life through a woodcut print style with the help of my husband, Tyler. The detailed lines and organic textures reflect our commitment to the artistry of woodworking and the celebration of nature's wonders.

At Good & Woodsy, we believe in the transformative power of sustainable craftsmanship. Every small project we create carries the imprint of our love for woodworking and our dedication to ethical practices. Our journey is rooted in blending art with nature, breathing life into every piece we carefully shape.

Join us on this incredible adventure as we embark on a mission to craft beautiful projects that bring warmth and joy to your homes and hearts. Together, let's celebrate the splendor of the cecropia moth and the timeless beauty of wood.

Stay tuned for more updates, behind-the-scenes peeks, and a glimpse into our creative process. Welcome to the Good & Woodsy community, where passion for art, sustainability, and the wonders of nature converge!

Cheers,
Frances Owen
